Growing up, we spent a lot of time playing games together. We were SEGA brothers at heart, but if there was one game that made having a NES worthwile it was “Probotector” (the PAL “Contra”). In this game the ‘Spread Gun’ power-up is absolute boss and I am wishing those boss vibes be present for your special day.
For both of us, the Gameboy has been getting a run lately. I was looking around online for GB games and managed to find a copy of Contra (JP). Don’t worry, the text is still English (not that this game is about reading, right!?) When it came in the post I gave it a test run on my Gameboy. It was so good that I didn’t want to give it away, but I find that’s always a sign of a good present!
I ended up making a gift package containing: Contra GB game, a potato gun, 2 pairs of Mr. Men socks, 2 credit card guitar picks and a bucket of Skittles!

PS. “BIRSDAY” is a reference to our aunty Inger’s mum (aka. ‘mormor’) who always used to famously sing the song as ‘Happy Berse-day’ at family birthday gatherings, due to English being her second language.
